Fanar Food Tech Centre for Development

The centre was set up in the beginning of the year 2003, with the objective of enhancing our capabilities in product development research and training. Our tech support team comes from various food industries bringing with them a wealth of experience in Research & Development of all kinds of food products. They are equipped with the necessary documentation and recipe guide lines.

The centre is comprised of three facilities:
A sample reference library is set up in a separate temperature controlled room. This shortens the product development time.
   
A pilot plant with bench top equipment to enable R&D work in meat and sea food processing, dairy, beverages, baked goods, flavoring of snacks, sauces and confectionery.
   
A laboratory equipped with analytical equipment.
 
 
Our Main Objectives in Setting Up the Centre:
To enable us to offer our expertise in a more practical way, to aid us in troubleshooting, as well as to develop new products for customers.
   
To create a training ground for our sales team & customers’ product development personnel, so as to help them understand our products as well as market needs better.
   
To help us prepare product presentation seminars.
   
To set up a customer friendly facility for initial lab scale trials to avoid the hassles of direct batch trails in the factory (Our batch sizes can be as low as 5 Kgs/Lt).
